How we found love in Zamfara

I was sad that I won't be able to travel home after camp because we needed to do November clearance. As I was walking reluctantly into the lodge with my bags, a guy named Afeez walked up to me and said he knew me somewhere (that was the toasting line back then. "I know you somewhere" "your face looks familiar" etc). I immediately rebuffed him. Like you don't know what's going on in my head. He felt bad and other corps members said I embarrassed him by not listening to him. Later that day, he came back to explain. He actually knew me from TASUED. He was a year ahead. While waiting for clearance, Afeez fed me for 2 weeks. We move around together and Ola (his friend and roommate) was mad at him that he shouldn't be friends with a proud girl who embarrassed him publicly. But Afeez never took offense.
