  It all started when Nysc posted me to Sokoto state in the year 2019, Batch B2, of 2019/2020 Batch, just like a man who is always ready, I set off. Before then, people were telling the place is too far, and other security issues, but I was determined to go. I was determined that I want to explore their culture, and other experiences. My location then was Benin-city, as I graduated from Ambrose Alli University, while she graduated from UNN, Nsukka. So from Camp, Wamakko camp, after the 3weeks, were sent to our various PPA. While in camp, others were doing everything possible to serve in "town", but my own was that anywhere they took me to, i am going. So I was now posted to Kalanjeni community in Tangaza LGA, Sokoto state. Getting to the PPA, I was devastated to be frank as it was a village, but other previous corpers encouraged me. So I stayed!   It’s so weird thinking back to when we first met at Mammy market🤣 NYSC camp Lagos in 2017. There’s this Igbo woman’s food I always love to eat because I’m Igbo. Then one day he came to that same restaurant and he told of how much he loves Igbo delicacies and I turned immediately and said ahhh ahhh are you not Igbo? He said he isn’t.  At first glance, he looks Igbo. On a closer and second glance, you'll see a Yoruba man. So out of curiosity I asked to know his tribe. Surprisingly he told me he's Benin and I was like you look Igbo and he said he gets that a lot.  Days later, I met him again during our Man o'War drills and I said "you again!". He smiled and then we took some pictures. I had to send the pictures to him but I could only do that through WhatsApp because he uses an iPhone then while I used Samsung, so we exchanged numbers.
