How we met in Mammy market πŸ˜πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬

It’s so weird thinking back to when we first met at Mammy market🀣 NYSC camp Lagos in 2017.

There’s this Igbo woman’s food I always love to eat because I’m Igbo. Then one day he came to that same restaurant and he told of how much he loves Igbo delicacies and I turned immediately and said ahhh ahhh are you not Igbo? He said he isn’t.

At first glance, he looks Igbo. On a closer and second glance, you'll see a Yoruba man. So out of curiosity I asked to know his tribe. Surprisingly he told me he's Benin and I was like you look Igbo and he said he gets that a lot.

Days later, I met him again during our Man o'War drills and I said "you again!". He smiled and then we took some pictures. I had to send the pictures to him but I could only do that through WhatsApp because he uses an iPhone then while I used Samsung, so we exchanged numbers.

Fast forward to when we were leaving camp. We both thought this whole thing was just for 'that moment kind of love' but then we had our first date outside camp.

Then we continued to go on dates and got upclose, more intimate and waxed stronger together.

D-Day came on July 16th this year (2021) which coincidentally happens to be my birthday, he popped the big question with a banging surprise for me and I said 'YES' of course 😊

Ladies and gentlemen, come 4th of January, 2022, Catherine Ebere Ikebudu, B.Sc Public Administration, Anambra State University and Ojo Isaac, B.A. Philosophy, University of Lagos will be walking down the aisle to become husband and wife 😍😍😍 with the code #CathyZik2022.

What mammy market cannot do does not exist πŸ˜‰. There's blessing in being at the right place at the right time.

Long live NYSC.

Congratulations πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬❤️😘 @sparklecatherine

The beautiful NYSC love story of Mr and Mrs Enujeke 😍😍😍

My husband and I met in Niger State in 2009. He graduated from Delta State University, Abraka, and arrived at camp early. I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Unlike him, I got camp late in the afternoon and wasn’t able to complete my registration that day but secured hostel accommodation that night. The next day, after morning drills, I finished my registration where we first met. He was among the corps members assisting the new arrivals. We discovered we were in the same platoon— the great Platoon 8 πŸ˜ƒ —and from the same state, Delta State. However, I was born and raised in the north, while he had lived all his life in the south. We would walk together to morning drills and head to Mami Market with friends before resting at the hostel. What began as friendship during camp grew into feelings over the three weeks of orientation. When PPA postings were announced, he was assigned to COE in Minna, while I was posted to Bosso LG Secretariat. Despite being in different LGAs...

We met in NYSC and our fathers were friends from wayback πŸ’–πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬πŸ˜

We met precisely in 2019 during the INEC training for corps members towards the 2019 Elections at Government Secondary School Apata, Ibadan. I noticed her from a distance however I couldn’t summon the courage to speak with her but with the help of one of my friends who was also serving at that time I was able to speak with her.  She was a bit reserved but she communicated well with my friends and I. We had our first outing on February 14, 2019. The ride wasn’t a very smooth one but we became friends and gradually we got closer and we became lovers.  The success of our relationship can be traced to many things. First, although we are both Yorubas - she (Kwara State) while I am from Ekiti - after our service year, we both reside and work in Ilorin - which made the relationship smoother. Another factor which made me conclude that God's hand was indeed in our relationship was that we found out that my father and her father knew each other from way back. This made our union...

We met in NYSC, separated but came back together πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ’πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬

Femi and I struck a friendship during our NYSC orientation exercise in 2013. Even though there was always an initial attraction; we were both committed to other things and people and we left it as a good friendship. However, we kept in touch and in 2014, while Femi was away furthering his studies, we got closer and spoke every day. At this point, we were both single and decided to commit to each other. Our friends and family became well acquainted with each other and it felt like a fairy tale. Sadly, we parted ways a few years later. We were quite young and there were a lot of sacrifices we both weren’t willing to make then. However, the love and friendship we had never wavered; and our families always kept in touch and believed that God would guide us back to each other. We started dating other people so we barely communicated due to the respect we owed our previous relationships. My relationship at the time ended terribly and surprisingly, Femi who hadn’t spoken to me in over a...
