The man in the video above is Mr. Charles Ndamati, the Director of C-Rose School, in Obio-Akpor LGA, Port Harcourt, Rivers State. He is seen slapping, pushing and cussing Alex, a 2023 Batch B Stream 1 corps member observing his national service year in his school.
According to our source , the three corps members posted to the school - Divine Favour, Mimido and Alex - had gone to his office to discuss the persistent trend of deduction in their pay to which he responded angrily and violently.
She said "after working for a whole month (literally working like normal staff, teaching more than 4 classes), when it's payday, he would slash our salary.
"We came to school yesterday to ask the supervisor the reason for the reduced pay, he said he doesn't have anything to say to us that we should go and meet the Director."
"We trekked for like an hour to the Director's house. On getting there, he didn't even open the gate for us, he chased us away."
"Today we went in to ask because he's in school. He said we missed school for a day. We tried to explain to him that on the day he was referring to, we went for NYSC sensitisation and that we took permission before going. That's when the whole argument started and he started harassing us hitting and harassing one of us boldly promising to "mess us up".
This is the third time this is happening - all in the name of serving our fatherland. This is unacceptable.
Here is a call to @officialnyscng to take the matter up as an injury to one is an injury to all.
