From platoon mates to soulmates 😍💍🇳🇬💖

We met on the very first day of camp. He was observing me. I noticed him but took my eyes off, as first day of camp na. The following day while preparing for the activities, I stood near him during morning devotion and we started chatting. .

Our friendship continued all the way through the 3 weeks orientation. Coincidentally we were in the same platoon (8 platoon) and he was my platoon leader.

We ate together, visited Mammy together and had other things in common. People in camp started calling us husband and wife but we both knew there was nothing of such between us. However, It was difficult convincing people as fellow corpers, NYSC officials and commandants didn't believe our story.

After 3 weeks, PPA separated us & we had to go to different PPA. He cried and I cried. It was as though a part of us was being taken away and the world was coming to an end.

Despite the distance, we kept communicating as friends - close ones at that and we found means of seeing for about once or twice.

I returned to Lagos after NYSC and he went to Minna, Niger State where his parents were based and we maintained our communication.

Meanwhile, back in camp, he would jokingly say "Tinu, we might end up together". But I never took him serious. I often say to him "abeg, you and who"

So early this year, he called and said "I have told my parents about you. I told them if it's not you, then it's nobody." I laughed and shrugged it off that from Minna to Lagos. I told him to stop his jokes and we both laughed about it.

June of this year he came to Lagos for a training and used the opportunity to see my parents. He told my Mum that really likes me to be his life partner. He had actually told me before then too and I told him "let's see how it goes". Miraculously, the training/company he came for in Lagos retained him back in Lagos and that's how we started and things fell in place. His parents came for introduction and here we are together. Yeah!!!!!! .

The beautiful NYSC love story of Mr and Mrs Enujeke 😍😍😍

My husband and I met in Niger State in 2009. He graduated from Delta State University, Abraka, and arrived at camp early. I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Unlike him, I got camp late in the afternoon and wasn’t able to complete my registration that day but secured hostel accommodation that night. The next day, after morning drills, I finished my registration where we first met. He was among the corps members assisting the new arrivals. We discovered we were in the same platoon— the great Platoon 8 😃 —and from the same state, Delta State. However, I was born and raised in the north, while he had lived all his life in the south. We would walk together to morning drills and head to Mami Market with friends before resting at the hostel. What began as friendship during camp grew into feelings over the three weeks of orientation. When PPA postings were announced, he was assigned to COE in Minna, while I was posted to Bosso LG Secretariat. Despite being in different LGAs...

We met in NYSC and our fathers were friends from wayback 💖🇳🇬😍

We met precisely in 2019 during the INEC training for corps members towards the 2019 Elections at Government Secondary School Apata, Ibadan. I noticed her from a distance however I couldn’t summon the courage to speak with her but with the help of one of my friends who was also serving at that time I was able to speak with her.  She was a bit reserved but she communicated well with my friends and I. We had our first outing on February 14, 2019. The ride wasn’t a very smooth one but we became friends and gradually we got closer and we became lovers.  The success of our relationship can be traced to many things. First, although we are both Yorubas - she (Kwara State) while I am from Ekiti - after our service year, we both reside and work in Ilorin - which made the relationship smoother. Another factor which made me conclude that God's hand was indeed in our relationship was that we found out that my father and her father knew each other from way back. This made our union...

We met in NYSC, separated but came back together 😍🤣💍🇳🇬

Femi and I struck a friendship during our NYSC orientation exercise in 2013. Even though there was always an initial attraction; we were both committed to other things and people and we left it as a good friendship. However, we kept in touch and in 2014, while Femi was away furthering his studies, we got closer and spoke every day. At this point, we were both single and decided to commit to each other. Our friends and family became well acquainted with each other and it felt like a fairy tale. Sadly, we parted ways a few years later. We were quite young and there were a lot of sacrifices we both weren’t willing to make then. However, the love and friendship we had never wavered; and our families always kept in touch and believed that God would guide us back to each other. We started dating other people so we barely communicated due to the respect we owed our previous relationships. My relationship at the time ended terribly and surprisingly, Femi who hadn’t spoken to me in over a...
