From pre-camp WhatsApp group to Mr. & Mrs. – Read the love story of @honeymixed24 and @arc_adedam

You know people create WhatsApp group for prospective corpers in each state. So I met him in that group. I saw someone asking for travel buddy - though not him. Then I replied the person. Then another message in my DM again. He said he doesn’t want to talk in that group that we are moving from the same place. So I said okay and he requested for my picture and all for recognition I send to him and he sent his too. But I deleted the picture.

Fast forward to the day we will be going to camp. He waited for me but we couldn't go together bcos a friend asked me to collect something for her from home.

On getting to camp ooo. He called since I don’t know the person as I deleted picture I told him I'll wait at football goalpost. I waited endlessly not knowing the soldiers were sending him back. But he was persistent and we finally met.

Normally, I'm not patient but a different spirit was working in me that day.

So on our way going back, a soldier accosted us and warned me not to use jewelry on parade ground but I had an heated exchange with the soldier which gave a wrong impression to him. He later told me he made up his mind not to pass his boundary by asking me out bcos of the way I spoke to the soldier thinking I'm a "runs" girl to be bold enough to do that. But I did that because I know soldiers don’t beat corpers.

I was in platoon 4 while he was in 6 but he was inactive in that platoon bcos he won’t stay there. He always in my platoon. Me I know no say nah everytime baba dey monitor me he will even snap picture sef and send to me on WhatsApp. Naso baba dey do gum body everytime.ðŸĪŠ

End of camp. NYSC separated us by posting us to different LGAs but I relocated to his LGA after visiting my LGA and didn't like the place.

NYSC year was fun. We did everything together. CDS, PPA etc and even went home together after work.

ðŸ“ļ That's us on POP day above.

He proposed a month after POP (April) and we tied the knot 💍 in September, 2020. That's our baby in the picture 😍

The beautiful NYSC love story of Mr and Mrs Enujeke 😍😍😍

My husband and I met in Niger State in 2009. He graduated from Delta State University, Abraka, and arrived at camp early. I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Unlike him, I got camp late in the afternoon and wasn’t able to complete my registration that day but secured hostel accommodation that night. The next day, after morning drills, I finished my registration where we first met. He was among the corps members assisting the new arrivals. We discovered we were in the same platoon— the great Platoon 8 😃 —and from the same state, Delta State. However, I was born and raised in the north, while he had lived all his life in the south. We would walk together to morning drills and head to Mami Market with friends before resting at the hostel. What began as friendship during camp grew into feelings over the three weeks of orientation. When PPA postings were announced, he was assigned to COE in Minna, while I was posted to Bosso LG Secretariat. Despite being in different LGAs...

How I 'dramatically' met my wife in NYSC Sokoto

It all started on Wednesday, 2nd February 2022. I was posted to Sokoto for NYSC camp, but I had planned to be a “ghost Corper” since I lived in Kebbi, just two hours away. My plan was to only show up for clearances and return home. I was posted to Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE), Sokoto, for my PPA with my friend Firdausi.  After documentation, we were to choose a CDS group. Firdausi picked Freedom of Information Vanguard (FOIV) because it was close to the Corper’s lodge and advised me to do the same, so I did. I still wanted to relocate to Kebbi, but Firdausi encouraged me to attend CDS at least a few times to know how things worked. One Wednesday, we trekked to the CDS venue at Bado Quarters. I arrived late.  As I entered, I saw her—Saudat. A calm, beautiful young lady. I froze thinking, “If she agrees to date me, I’ll marry her after NYSC,” but another thought said, “Forget it, girls this fine here are probably married already.” Throughout the meeting, I k...

We met in NYSC and our fathers were friends from wayback 💖ðŸ‡ģ🇎😍

We met precisely in 2019 during the INEC training for corps members towards the 2019 Elections at Government Secondary School Apata, Ibadan. I noticed her from a distance however I couldn’t summon the courage to speak with her but with the help of one of my friends who was also serving at that time I was able to speak with her.  She was a bit reserved but she communicated well with my friends and I. We had our first outing on February 14, 2019. The ride wasn’t a very smooth one but we became friends and gradually we got closer and we became lovers.  The success of our relationship can be traced to many things. First, although we are both Yorubas - she (Kwara State) while I am from Ekiti - after our service year, we both reside and work in Ilorin - which made the relationship smoother. Another factor which made me conclude that God's hand was indeed in our relationship was that we found out that my father and her father knew each other from way back. This made our union...
