She had class written all over her. I determined to walk up to her 😍😍

Met my wife at the Mallam Sidi camp in Gombe in September 2009. It was day 2 at the Orientation camp. She was different. Standing a little apart from the crowd of girls doing hard to impress and catch new guys.

She was still and calm and alone. Hands in the two pockets of her white on white shorts. Her shirt was a vintage polo shirt. She had "class" written all over her. So naturally, I felt intimidated. But just as I was contemplating what excuse I will use to break the ice and talk to her, a young Hausa boy approached me with his cart and asked if I would buy sweets.

The idea brightened my eyes and I quickly purchased 10 buttermint sweets and he left I ensured that our eyes met and I hollered at her and asked if she wanted some sweets and without waiting for an answer, I threw 2 in her direction.

The Warri girl in her caught the two instinctively then we started a conversation. We became close friends and inseparable at the camp and it became sure that God had a hand in this when we were posted to Gombe town together.

Considering the difference in tribe (I’m Yoruba), family tried to disuade me and all. But part of being a man is knowing what you want and putting your feet down. The sad thing is many people have jeopardized their own future by dancing to other people's opinions. Don't misinterprete me though. It's good to listen to other people's opinion, but it must come second to what God told you.

Well, 3 years and 4 months after our first meeting, We got Married on the 19th of January 2013 and God has been our Rock through it all. We are blessed with 4 beautiful girls and just last week, we celebrated 10 years of sweetness and bliss.

Toast to my wife πŸ₯° 10 YEARS JUST LIKE YESTERDAY

For all the Good you brought to my life, for believing and encouraging me to be more. For continuing to tolerate me πŸ€ͺπŸ€ͺ. I want to say thank you for 10 years of blissfulness. Cheers to Many more years together in health and wealth. It's Our 10th year anniversary and I love you Ejiroghene Gloria Akoko-Ajibade.

How I 'dramatically' met my wife in NYSC Sokoto

It all started on Wednesday, 2nd February 2022. I was posted to Sokoto for NYSC camp, but I had planned to be a “ghost Corper” since I lived in Kebbi, just two hours away. My plan was to only show up for clearances and return home. I was posted to Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE), Sokoto, for my PPA with my friend Firdausi.  After documentation, we were to choose a CDS group. Firdausi picked Freedom of Information Vanguard (FOIV) because it was close to the Corper’s lodge and advised me to do the same, so I did. I still wanted to relocate to Kebbi, but Firdausi encouraged me to attend CDS at least a few times to know how things worked. One Wednesday, we trekked to the CDS venue at Bado Quarters. I arrived late.  As I entered, I saw her—Saudat. A calm, beautiful young lady. I froze thinking, “If she agrees to date me, I’ll marry her after NYSC,” but another thought said, “Forget it, girls this fine here are probably married already.” Throughout the meeting, I k...

The beautiful NYSC love story of Mr and Mrs Enujeke 😍😍😍

My husband and I met in Niger State in 2009. He graduated from Delta State University, Abraka, and arrived at camp early. I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Unlike him, I got camp late in the afternoon and wasn’t able to complete my registration that day but secured hostel accommodation that night. The next day, after morning drills, I finished my registration where we first met. He was among the corps members assisting the new arrivals. We discovered we were in the same platoon— the great Platoon 8 πŸ˜ƒ —and from the same state, Delta State. However, I was born and raised in the north, while he had lived all his life in the south. We would walk together to morning drills and head to Mami Market with friends before resting at the hostel. What began as friendship during camp grew into feelings over the three weeks of orientation. When PPA postings were announced, he was assigned to COE in Minna, while I was posted to Bosso LG Secretariat. Despite being in different LGAs...

We met in NYSC, separated but came back together πŸ˜πŸ€£πŸ’πŸ‡³πŸ‡¬

Femi and I struck a friendship during our NYSC orientation exercise in 2013. Even though there was always an initial attraction; we were both committed to other things and people and we left it as a good friendship. However, we kept in touch and in 2014, while Femi was away furthering his studies, we got closer and spoke every day. At this point, we were both single and decided to commit to each other. Our friends and family became well acquainted with each other and it felt like a fairy tale. Sadly, we parted ways a few years later. We were quite young and there were a lot of sacrifices we both weren’t willing to make then. However, the love and friendship we had never wavered; and our families always kept in touch and believed that God would guide us back to each other. We started dating other people so we barely communicated due to the respect we owed our previous relationships. My relationship at the time ended terribly and surprisingly, Femi who hadn’t spoken to me in over a...
