Our beautiful NYSC love story 😍🇳🇬 14 years after

I graduated from Madonna University in 2005 while my husband graduated from Auchi Polytechnic. I was supposed to serve immediately but somewhere down the line, I couldn’t make it. You could say fate; perhaps destiny. It is what it is! The following year I went for my service in Ikire, Osun state. So I met Corper Rasak Obaro (now hubby😍) already serving because he was in Batch A and I in Batch B.

This love thing didn’t just click at that point. It's not love at first sight like you would want to hear because apparently I was in another relationship. Mr Corper wanted more than being just friends but I was stern with my decision not to double date. Although he had very good qualities. As a friend, he was always there for me - ready to help out in the slightest way possible (not financially though because e no get shishi). Oga would help fetch water from the well and the likes.

We kept at being friends till we passed out even though he would have wished we took it to the next level. We parted ways and never spoke for about a year or so. As God would have his way, my previous relationship didn’t work out. So what was the smartest thing to do? Out of the blue, I called him to say hello. The rest now is history.

Here we are 17 years later as friends and 14 years as husband and wife getting better and evolving. We started very, very small. Even though I was born with a silver spoon, I was willing to take the leap. Not caring what the future holds. But I saw potentials! Oh yes… potentials. Bumpy ride at the start but now

God has blessed us. Who would have thought? Four children down the line 🥰. Assets to our names!! And forever to go!! Mr and Mrs Rasak Obaro 😍💍🇳🇬

Long live NYSC 💪

The beautiful NYSC love story of Mr and Mrs Enujeke 😍😍😍

My husband and I met in Niger State in 2009. He graduated from Delta State University, Abraka, and arrived at camp early. I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Unlike him, I got camp late in the afternoon and wasn’t able to complete my registration that day but secured hostel accommodation that night. The next day, after morning drills, I finished my registration where we first met. He was among the corps members assisting the new arrivals. We discovered we were in the same platoon— the great Platoon 8 😃 —and from the same state, Delta State. However, I was born and raised in the north, while he had lived all his life in the south. We would walk together to morning drills and head to Mami Market with friends before resting at the hostel. What began as friendship during camp grew into feelings over the three weeks of orientation. When PPA postings were announced, he was assigned to COE in Minna, while I was posted to Bosso LG Secretariat. Despite being in different LGAs...

We met in NYSC and our fathers were friends from wayback 💖🇳🇬😍

We met precisely in 2019 during the INEC training for corps members towards the 2019 Elections at Government Secondary School Apata, Ibadan. I noticed her from a distance however I couldn’t summon the courage to speak with her but with the help of one of my friends who was also serving at that time I was able to speak with her.  She was a bit reserved but she communicated well with my friends and I. We had our first outing on February 14, 2019. The ride wasn’t a very smooth one but we became friends and gradually we got closer and we became lovers.  The success of our relationship can be traced to many things. First, although we are both Yorubas - she (Kwara State) while I am from Ekiti - after our service year, we both reside and work in Ilorin - which made the relationship smoother. Another factor which made me conclude that God's hand was indeed in our relationship was that we found out that my father and her father knew each other from way back. This made our union...

We met in NYSC, separated but came back together 😍🤣💍🇳🇬

Femi and I struck a friendship during our NYSC orientation exercise in 2013. Even though there was always an initial attraction; we were both committed to other things and people and we left it as a good friendship. However, we kept in touch and in 2014, while Femi was away furthering his studies, we got closer and spoke every day. At this point, we were both single and decided to commit to each other. Our friends and family became well acquainted with each other and it felt like a fairy tale. Sadly, we parted ways a few years later. We were quite young and there were a lot of sacrifices we both weren’t willing to make then. However, the love and friendship we had never wavered; and our families always kept in touch and believed that God would guide us back to each other. We started dating other people so we barely communicated due to the respect we owed our previous relationships. My relationship at the time ended terribly and surprisingly, Femi who hadn’t spoken to me in over a...
