The NYSC love story of Collins and Bisoye 😍🇳🇬💖💍

Abisoye and I met at NYSC Camp through mutual friends. Before we were introduced, I had seen her earlier in the day at Mami market purchasing a power bank and she looked overwhelmed. I tried to get her attention but she walked right past me; didn’t even notice me or look in my direction.

Well, as fate would have it, we were formally introduced through friends that night. Most of her friends were in my platoon, so she would come over to hang and I always saved her a seat… we got closer over time.

We got to know each other better and became really great friends. During our last week on camp I asked her if she had plans on relocating or traveling for her master’s degree, because I knew I was relocating soon. I saw a future with her and I didn’t want to miss out on it. We started dating right after camp and I made sure my last few months before relocating were memorable.

Our relationship became a long distance relationship for a year before she moved for her master’s. The rest, as they say, is history.

We became man and wife - Mr. & Mrs Nwanze on the September 2023 in the presence of friends and family. 😍😍🥰😍

The beautiful NYSC love story of Mr and Mrs Enujeke 😍😍😍

My husband and I met in Niger State in 2009. He graduated from Delta State University, Abraka, and arrived at camp early. I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Unlike him, I got camp late in the afternoon and wasn’t able to complete my registration that day but secured hostel accommodation that night. The next day, after morning drills, I finished my registration where we first met. He was among the corps members assisting the new arrivals. We discovered we were in the same platoon— the great Platoon 8 😃 —and from the same state, Delta State. However, I was born and raised in the north, while he had lived all his life in the south. We would walk together to morning drills and head to Mami Market with friends before resting at the hostel. We met precisely in 2019 during the INEC training for corps members towards the 2019 Elections at Government Secondary School Apata, Ibadan. I noticed her from a distance however I couldn’t summon the courage to speak with her but with the help of one of my friends who was also serving at that time I was able to speak with her. She was a bit reserved but she communicated well with my friends and I. We had our first outing on February 14, 2019. The ride wasn’t a very smooth one but we became friends and gradually we got closer and we became lovers. The success of our relationship can be traced to many things. First, although we are both Yorubas - she (Kwara State) while I am from Ekiti - after our service year, we both reside and work in Ilorin - which made the relationship smoother. Femi and I struck a friendship during our NYSC orientation exercise in 2013. Even though there was always an initial attraction; we were both committed to other things and people and we left it as a good friendship. However, we kept in touch and in 2014, while Femi was away furthering his studies, we got closer and spoke every day. At this point, we were both single and decided to commit to each other. Our friends and family became well acquainted with each other and it felt like a fairy tale. Sadly, we parted ways a few years later. We were quite young and there were a lot of sacrifices we both weren’t willing to make then.
