How NYSC gave me a beautiful wife 🇳🇬😍🙂💖

It all started when I was posted to Jigawa State 2020A for NYSC. I was scared at first because of the negative comments about the north but I still went.

After the documentation in camp, I was made the leader of Platoon 3 and parade commander. Rose was also in platoon 3 but we never met in camp as I was always busy.

Sadly, one week into camp we were sent home due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, during the lockdown she would chat me up countlessly to get updates on resumption but I hardly responded 😁.

When we resumed in October, I was posted to Dutse Capital School while she was posted to a school on the outskirts of town but as God would have it she was rejected in her PPA and sent to mine.

That fateful day, I went to take breakfast and she arrived at the school for her documentation. Immediately I saw her I felt an unusual PEACE in my heart. Right there, I knew deep down that I was looking at my wife but as a guy man, parade commander and platoon leader I lockup.

I said "Hi" and she was like "Shey you're that guy that use to shout preeey shun" I said yes. When I went back home I discussed with my guys and they were like "bad guy just chop her and go" but what I felt was deeper and stronger than that.

Soon we both started getting close. I became the CLO of my PPA, I tried using my title chase her but she was not falling for it, so I decided to be more patient. Long story short, after several dinner dates I finally asked her out and she said she'll grant my request only if she has peace in her heart towards me else it'll be a 'no'.

On the 1st of January 2021 she said yes and on 18th February 2021 - the day of our POP, I asked her to marry me and she said YES.

I'm from Rivers & she's from Benin. My Dad was skeptical at first because of her Benin roots & rumors of witches and he was not a fan of marriage outside one's tribe but my Mum was so supportive. She reminded him that his brother married from Kaduna - so Dad was won over. On her side, her parents were welcoming and that boosted our morale.

We got married on December 16/17, 2021. We are living together happily ever after & expecting our first baby soonest.

Long live NYSC 😀

The beautiful NYSC love story of Mr and Mrs Enujeke 😍😍😍

My husband and I met in Niger State in 2009. He graduated from Delta State University, Abraka, and arrived at camp early. I graduated from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. Unlike him, I got camp late in the afternoon and wasn’t able to complete my registration that day but secured hostel accommodation that night. The next day, after morning drills, I finished my registration where we first met. He was among the corps members assisting the new arrivals. We discovered we were in the same platoon— the great Platoon 8 😃 —and from the same state, Delta State. However, I was born and raised in the north, while he had lived all his life in the south. We would walk together to morning drills and head to Mami Market with friends before resting at the hostel. What began as friendship during camp grew into feelings over the three weeks of orientation. When PPA postings were announced, he was assigned to COE in Minna, while I was posted to Bosso LG Secretariat. Despite being in different LGAs...

How I 'dramatically' met my wife in NYSC Sokoto

It all started on Wednesday, 2nd February 2022. I was posted to Sokoto for NYSC camp, but I had planned to be a “ghost Corper” since I lived in Kebbi, just two hours away. My plan was to only show up for clearances and return home. I was posted to Shehu Shagari College of Education (SSCOE), Sokoto, for my PPA with my friend Firdausi.  After documentation, we were to choose a CDS group. Firdausi picked Freedom of Information Vanguard (FOIV) because it was close to the Corper’s lodge and advised me to do the same, so I did. I still wanted to relocate to Kebbi, but Firdausi encouraged me to attend CDS at least a few times to know how things worked. One Wednesday, we trekked to the CDS venue at Bado Quarters. I arrived late.  As I entered, I saw her—Saudat. A calm, beautiful young lady. I froze thinking, “If she agrees to date me, I’ll marry her after NYSC,” but another thought said, “Forget it, girls this fine here are probably married already.” Throughout the meeting, I k...

We met in NYSC and our fathers were friends from wayback 💖🇳🇬😍

We met precisely in 2019 during the INEC training for corps members towards the 2019 Elections at Government Secondary School Apata, Ibadan. I noticed her from a distance however I couldn’t summon the courage to speak with her but with the help of one of my friends who was also serving at that time I was able to speak with her.  She was a bit reserved but she communicated well with my friends and I. We had our first outing on February 14, 2019. The ride wasn’t a very smooth one but we became friends and gradually we got closer and we became lovers.  The success of our relationship can be traced to many things. First, although we are both Yorubas - she (Kwara State) while I am from Ekiti - after our service year, we both reside and work in Ilorin - which made the relationship smoother. Another factor which made me conclude that God's hand was indeed in our relationship was that we found out that my father and her father knew each other from way back. This made our union...
